| St.Kitts and Nevis World Championships Team 11 August 2009 |

PRESS RELEASE
The Federation's Representative Team at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) 12th World Championships in Athletics departed the Federation on Sunday 9th August, 2009 for Berlin, Germany. The Representative Team, lead by the SKNAAA's President (A.g) and Team Leader, Mr Glennville Jeffers is comprised of the following athletes and officials:
Kim Collins - Athlete: 100m and 200m Virgil Hodge - " 100m and 200m, and 4x100m Tameka Williams - " 200m and 4x100m Meritzer Williams - " 200m and 4x100m Tiandra Ponteen - " 400m and 4x100m Marecia Pemberton - " 4x100m Tanika Liburd - " 4x100m Lonzo Wilkinson - Technical Leader Fitzroy Francis - Coach
The contingent represents the Federation's largest team ever at an IAAF World Championships. This 12th edition of the Championships will also see the debut of St Kitts and Nevis' 4x100m female relay team in the World Championships. The female relay team cemented their entry in this year's championships by clocking at time of 42.53s at the Central American and Caribbean Championships held in Cuba last month. The Championships will run from Saturday 15th August to Sunday 23rd August, 2009. Competition for the St Kitts and Team begins on the 15th August in the 100m and 200m events.
The SKNAAA Executive wishes the team all the best as they continue their stride to make the Federation proud.
In related news, prior to the Championships, Mr. Jeffers will represent the SKNAAA at the IAAF Congress also held in Berlin Germany on August 11th.
