In accordance with the new SKNAAA Constitution the athletes shall elect an
Athletes’
Representative
to serve on the SKNAAA Executive. This person shall:
a) represent the interest of the athletes involved in the sport of athletics in St Kitts and
Nevis. This includes the interests of athletes who are resident abroad.
b) be assigned such other duties as the Executive shall deem necessary and expedient from
time to time.
The
attached list of eligible athletes can nominate one of their peers for the above Executive
position. Nominations are opened from
Monday 30th November 2009 and closes at midnight on
Thursday 3
rd December 2009
.
All nominations must be sent to the following email addresses:
sknaaa@hotmail.com and/or
skn@mf.iaaf.org
. An athlete can only submit one (1) nomination. If an athlete submits more
than one nomination, then his/her nomination will become void.
In order to be included on the final list of nominees, one must be nominated by at least two (2)
different eligible athletes.
The
final list of nominees will be circulated on Monday 7th December, 2009 when the voting
period officially opens. The voting period will end on
Wednesday 9th December 2009 at
midnight, St Kitts time.
All eligible athletes are therefore encouraged to participate in this very important election
exercise in order to have your representative confirmed at the SKNAAA Quadrennial General
Meeting slated for
Saturday 12th December 2009 at the Foundation for National Development
Conference Room.
